Lush Mini Haul

OK so today we went shopping to get Faith a new dance outfit and while we were wandering around stumbled across the new lush store which had just opened.
Now to be honest I have not had the best experience when going into lush its a bit like going to subway the staff are slightly rude they seem to expect you to know what you want right away.  To be honest I like to have a good old look around and not feel the shop assistants breath breathing down my neck.
Today they weren't bad however they didn't go out of there way to sell anything either they were a little bit to busy talking to there friends who were in the shop with them.
So after much walking about and trying to stop Faith picking everything up we got 2 things

The Comforter Bubble Bar £3.99

This fruity bubble bar gives the feeling of being hugged by a jolly blackcurrant.
When life is getting you down, crumble The Comforter under hot, running water for purple water and creamy bubbles.
The warm aroma of cassis absolute is relaxing so relaxing that you'll go to bed feeling happier and the world will seem brighter the next day.

Think Pink Ballistic £2.50

The Think Pink Ballistic is back with a slimmer figure.
We've made it smaller, but this hot pink bomb is still fragranced with tonka bean's edgy aroma and the sweetness of vanilla absolute.
It's sweet, but not overbearingly so, with a subtle bite that will remind you of pink bon-bons.
We highly recommend you spoil yourself and think pink.

I haven't used either yet but will let you know what they are like when i have used them.

If you use Lush
What do you get when you go??
Whats worth a try??
How do you keep your stuff stored??

I got a copy of the Lush Times which tells you about the products which is great I'm thinking of ordering online as to be honest the customer service sucks big time and makes me not want to return to the store.

Yankee Candles

large jar - burning time 110 - 150 hours
medium jar - burning time 65 - 90 hours
small jar - burning time 25 - 40 hours

Sampler - burning time 15 hours
Wax Tart - burning time 8 hours
T-Lights - burning time 4 - 6 hours

Been asked to do a review on Yankee Candles these are by far my favourite candle in-fact they are the only ones we have in our house.
They have a range of scents which are split into fruit, floral, food and spice, and festive. Home Sweet Home is one of my favourite scents I have put a pic of the main items in the range and the approx burning time.
The trick with these candles is to keep the wicks trimmed down which makes them a cleaner burn and makes them last longer.
Also I have a shade for my jars which stops the flame getting blown about which also helps the candles burn for longer.

These are available from Yankee Candle website I get mine from Boundary Mill.

The best way to sample the scent of the candles is by getting one of the jar candles removing the lid and smell the lid not the candle as this gives a true smell.

Elf Haul Product Review

Nail varnish metal madness £1.50
I LOVE THIS POLISH the colour is black but it has fine multi colour glitter running through it you need to use top coat for this polish or the glitter tends to lose its colour and go silver in colour.
Polish lasts really well week mine lasted the whole week will get some more of these and try them out great value for money.

2True 3 in 1 Concealer

Yet another great find while in superdrug!!
I saw the 2True stand so I went and had a little look everything was priced up at £1.99 each or 3 for £4.99 I thought this was to good to be true.
So i left without getting anything and searched the net and found rave reviews on this product.  I've been using the 2 true 3 in 1 concealer over the past week and love it.
I found this concealer to cover dark circle and spots with ease, without being cloggy and drying my skin.
The only down side is it only comes in 3 shades and to be honest I could use any of them by mixing them together.
Yes this means getting more than one but for the money and the quality I have paid more than the cost of 3 of these for one product.
I would definitely recommend this product.
£1.99 or 3 products for £4.99

Garnier Caffeine Eye Roll On

Just took this little beauty out the box and tried it and thought I would give you a quick review.   Now I can't tell you this has got rid of my dark circles and bags cause I have only used it, however this has just made my eyes feel so refreshed.  The product has a little roller ball applicator which feels lovely on the eye area and has a lovely cooling effect to it and makes you feel like you have been pampered which I love.

So I will review fully when I have used it for longer but on first impressions LOVE IT.

I suffer with hay fever really bad and I think this will also be nice to use on my eyes then to calm them and sooth them.

I really want to try the gold coloured one to as I have heard great reviews about it, if you have tried it please let me know what you thought of it.

They claim

My New Skin Care Routine

Ok so the last few weeks I have been trying to find a new skin care routine.  I have horrible skin which breaks out ALL the time.  I have been using Liz Earle for years and to be honest although I love it, it really hasn't helped my skin at all.
I had started to give up on it really however I was sent a sample of a product I did blog about it it's the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Scrub and Facial Wash which I have been using and I love.
However I was told about the Clean & Clear dual action moisturiser with is oil free, so while Boots have had there 3 for 2 offer on this is what I got.  The Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Wash, Witch Anti Blemish Primer and the Clean & Clear Moisturiser.

Clean & Clear Deep Action Facial Wash
This product is lovely I use it by washing my face and then applying it all over.  Once you start to rub it in a tingling sensation starts which i really like makes you feel like this product is really working I then wash off with water.  This leaves your face feeling so clean and fresh.
£3.05 for 150ml brought on a 3 for 2 offer at boots

Witch Anti Blemish Primer
Brought this product having heard reviews on it and it lives up to the reviews.  I have only been using a short time but i love this primer it goes on really easy and doesn't cause me and further break outs.  I have written a full review on this on my blog but so far so good.
£6.99 for 30ml brought on a 3 for 2 offer at Boots

Clean & clean Dual Action Moisturiser
I love this moisturiser i have been looking for one for ages which doesn't leave my skin feeling oily and i think this is one of my new favourite skin care items.  i love the tingling feeling it gives once applied it makes it feel like it working on your skin helping prevent spots.
£3.46 for 100ml brought on a 3 for 2 offer at Boots

I am really loving the Clean and Clear product and would like to try more of them and recommendation's???

Witch Anti Blemish Skin Clearing Primer

I have heard great things about this product on blog's and UTube videos so decided to give it a try.
I looked for this last week in boots and couldn't find it, as boots have the 3 for 2 offer on I didn't want to miss out.  So yesterday Faith and I went to the big boots down the road and bobs your uncle they had it so I got this and 2 more clean and clear products which I will blog about later.

They Claim

Witch Anti-blemish Skin Clearing Primer is designed to help prepare your skin for foundation by mattifying and absorbing excess oils, providing a smooth, silky base that helps you achieve an even and long lasting finish with any foundation or powder. Added to this, the Witch Anti-blemish Skin Clearing Primer also helps prevent and target blemishes by protecting skin from the layers of makeup which can cause or aggravate blemishes.
  • Helps prevent and target blemishes
  • Mattifies and absorbs excess oil
  • Can be used alone or under your favourite foundation or powder
  • Primer should always be used on cleansed skin. If you use a moisturiser, give this time to be absorbed before applying the primer. Smooth gently all over face with your fingertips avoiding the eye area. Leave the primer to set for a couple of minutes before applying foundation or powder.
Witch Anti-blemish Skin Clearing Primer can also be used on its own giving a matt even complexion – perfect for men too, and for using in the summer.

Now I have only used this today but so far so good, it went on really easy and my make up did seem to last the whole day.  I have just change skin care routine but this seemed to help with my oily skin throughout  the day.  Normally by the end of the day I'm dying to wash my make up off however, today I have to say I'm not running to the bathroom.

So all in in value for money £6.99 30ml

Would I repurchase YES
Would i recommend this product YES
Will this be part of my skin care routine YES

Tangle Teezer

I saw a few reviews on this as thought it would be perfect for my daughter who is very tender headed.

she has long hair and it is a battle to get it combed however since Jon brought her this she hasn't complained once about having her hair done RESULT!!!

Its made from plastic and is designed to fit into your hand which it does the bristles are made from the same plastic and are sturdy enough to de-tangle hair without pulling.

Its so good i have started to use it as well.

Tangle Teezer hair brush will break the cycle of broken hair and give tangled hair the brush off. A revolution in detangling hair, it has the ability to flex and not pull upon contact with tangles, gently and effortlessly delivering smooth and shiny hair in an instant.

Its not cheep it cost £10.20 but its money well spent ***** Stars

After we got this one they then released (which Faith now has on her wish list)

This is aimed for kids designed to look like a flower it has the comb on the top and rest's in a pot which can be used to store hair bands in.
It costs £13.26

Battle of the Eye Lid Primers

We have Urban Decay Primer Potion
Weighing in at 10ml cost £12.00
It claims challenges any shadow to fade or crease before its time
We have E.L.F Eyelid Primer
Weighing in at .17fl oz/5ml costs £1.50
It claims to prep your eyelid for smoother longer lasting crease proof eyeshadow.  The ultra sheer nude colour works to increase eye colour longevity.  Lightweight liquid formula quickly absorbs into skin for comfortable wear.

They both do pretty much the same thing I have tried the two and they both helped keep my eyeshadow one and I one place for the whole day.
They both have a similar consistency and are pretty much the same colour.
So it all comes down to price a no brainer really the E.L.F one is only £1.50 and

knocks the Urban Decay one out for the count!! .

Urban Decay Naked Palette

I decided to treat myself I am a drug store makeup kind of girl however this is something I have wanted for ages so I decided to treat myself.  I got mine from Debenhams they had 10% off and I found another voucher so all in all I got mine for about £10 cheaper then it should of been.  I haven't used mine yet as I made a school girl error and removed my make up with a baby wipe and it has dried out all my skin around my eyes.  However we are off out for dinner tonight and its coming out to play.  As I have said before I only every wear neutral shades so this is perfect for me.

What Urban Decay say about the Naked Palette
THIS is how Urban Decay does neutral! Far from a group of boring beige shadows, this long, lean, seductive case is packed with TWELVE gorgeous neutrals. Shades range from delicate champagnes to dark, gritty gunmetal, and feature FIVE NEW shades with names like Darkhorse, Virgin and Buck. We’ve also included a range of textures: everything from glitter to shimmer to matte.
This is a shadow palette EVERYONE can use, and a truly spectacular gift. Experiment with office-appropriate neutrals, summertime bronzy looks, or sultry smokiness. With such a diversity of neutral shades at your fingertips, you’ll show there’s more to neutral than meets the eye.

What I say about the Naked Palette

I absolutely love it there isn't one colour I don't like I can't wait to play more with it found some great videos on UTube which i will be trying out.  I did think it would come with the eyeliner in black and brown which i have heard great things about, however mine came with a brush which is lovely so soft.  The palette also came with a baby primer potion which is a firm favourite, Although i brought a primer from E.L.F which give the Urban Decay a run for its money at only £1.50

So all in all would i buy again HELL YES!!
Do i think its value for money YES!!!
Would i recommend to a friend YES!!
Will i be buying more high end products  YES!!
The star rating (we all know the answer to this one don't we)
Out of Five stars its a ****** star  (YES A SIX) lol

Johnson & Johnson Dual Action Moisturiser

Right should of done this review ages ago but really wanted to use this product so I could give a far account of it.
I've been using for over 2 weeks now and I am AMAZED!!! I have always had spot prone skin which to be honest really gets me down.  I was watching U-Tube videos the other week when msbudgetbeauty on Twitter or MissBudget Beauty UTube brought this to my attention so next day I raced to boots and brought it, it was on 3 for 2 £3.46 for 100ml.

This hand on heart is the best moisturiser I have used I have noticed a big difference in my skin.  When you apply it is tingles which I personally like it makes your skin feel clean. So having been a Liz Earle user for years it has now been retired for this which costs about a third of her moisturiser.

What they say:
Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser combines oil-free moisturisers which won't clog pores with a proven spot-fighting ingredient to help prevent spots and blemishes.

What i say:
I only wish I had found this years ago this will have a permanent place in my bathroom cabinet.

E.L.F Haul

This month I decided to treat myself to some E.L.F goodies as most of these things cost £1.50 each yes that's £1.50 each.  I have seen some great reviews on these things and as this is my first order I can only speak as I find but so far the products look great value for money and the quality seems really really good.  The only down point is in the UK we can only order via there website and the colours don't seems to be that good a colour match to what you do get.

I ordered
nail polish in metal madness, shimmering facial whip in toasted, clarifying pressed power in light beige, super glossy lip shine in iced latte, plumping lip shine in champagne, all over cover stick in ivory, tone correcting concealer in light beige, tinted moisturiser spf15 in ivory, waterproof eyeliner in black, eyelid primer, under eye concealer & highlighter, Eyebrow lifter and filler in ivory and medium, lip primer and plumper and the warm bronzer.

Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit

I have been looking for a new skin care routine I normally use Liz Earle however I have found it doesn't do anything for my spots which I am prone to.  Once I had washed my face it felt fine but within hours was starting to feel greasy again.  So I have packed it all away and went on the hunt for something new.  I was lucky enough to win a competition on a blog and there was a sample of the Neutrogena Pink grapefruit face wash which I used and loved.  So I have now been out and brought the face wash and the face scrub.

The Face Scrub

What Neutrogena Says:
An uplifting daily facial scrub with powerful MicroClear® technology and exfoliating micro-beads, the formula unclogs pores to clean deeply and help eliminate spots and blemishes. The refreshing scrub gently purifies the skin without over drying, while a wave of pink grapefruit uplifts the senses with a burst of invigorating freshness.

The Review
Only been using for a few days and I'm pleasantly surprised the micro bead are just that they are tiny so they are perfect for sensitive skin and can be use twice a day.  The texture is very runny so be careful when opening and remember a little goes a long way.  The smell is lovely very fresh and although having only used for a few days I truly believe this has made a difference to my skin.  This really is affordable skin care as it only cost £4.59 for 150ml (I got mine at boots while on a 3 for 2) *****stars

What Neutrogena Says
"An uplifting daily facial cleanser for clear, fresh and healthy looking skin everyday.  With powerful MicroClear technology, the formula cleanses deeply to help eliminate spots and blackheads.  The refreshing gel gently purifies the skin without over drying, while a wave of pink grapefruit uplifts the sense with a burst of invigorating freshness.

The Face Wash
This is one of my all time fav's since finding it it smells lovely and leaves my skin clean, soft and not feeling tight at all.  I haven't been using for that long but so far so good has it made a difference to my skin it might be to early to tell but so far yes I think it has and at £4.59 for 200ml do I think its worth the money YES!!! (i got mine on 3 for 2 at boots) *****stars
