My last RAK gift arrived today

RAK Gift From Ellie

Just under a month ago myself and 4 other girls all decided we would do a RAK
(random act of kindness) challenge.  We had to within the space of a month buy and send each other a little gift.  We set a limit to spend no more than £2.00 per gift and the gifts could be anything.

We all completed a little questionnaire to try and learn a little about each other as none of use have ever meet.  Twitter brought us all together and our love of blogging/beauty/chit chatting I can say hand on heart that these girls are some of the nicest, kindest, most thoughtful people I have even got to know.

I never thought that spending so little could have made us all so happy I loved every single thing which I got through the post and more to the point I was more excited waiting for the girls to get there gifts then waiting to get mine.

I would like to thank them all for making it such a success.

Avon Nail Polish

Haven't ordered anything from the Avon in like forever, however I was having a look through the book and found these I have been looking for a matte polish for ages and I have heard good things about this one so I ordered it.
The blue one is a limited edition for the royal wedding i will be sporting it for the day as I am sooooooo excited about the wedding.

I haven't used them yet so I will do a full review once I have.  Now I'm not 100% sure on the price but i think the matt one was £3.99 and the other one was £2.99
Avon Matte Nail Polish in Black As night £3.99

Avon Nailwear Pro in Kate £2.99

Superdrug Exfoliants

Popped to town today and picked up these they were on offer £2.79
I think each or 2 for £2.99 no brainer.
I'm hoping to break open the fake tan so I decided I need to get a new exfoliator
Superdrug didn't have a very good selection however I picked these two

Coconut & Shea Butter Body Polish

Used this last night and it was really nice not to rough did the job well.

Plum & Red Cherry Body Polish

Haven't tried this yet however it smells amazing

Superdrug does have the whole range of these products might try out a few more as they do smell really good.

I really love Cocoa & Shea Butter body butter

B&M 99p
Popped to our new B&M store the other day and spotted this I normally use a similar one from The Body Shop which costs £12.50 and this was 99p
 that's a £11.51 saving

Not bad but would it live up to the Body Shop One???
The answer is YES!!!

I had my shower last night and put this on it smelt sooooooo good and did the job as well as the body shop one and with the £11.51 i saved just think what i could buy lol

So if you see this pop it in your trolley you wont be disappointed I will be returning to buy more soon.

Primark Find

Yesterday while in Merry Hill we popped into Primark Faith and I went a got a few things and joined the longest Que I had ever seen in my life.  While queuing and losing the will to live Jon popped up with these little beauties and thrust a £5 note at me.
not sure if you can make these out but there is a
Trim Pal = scissors
Brow Pal = tweezers
Nail Pal = nail file
They all come with a little suction thing at the bottom which means they can be stuck on a mirror or tiles these are now living in my bathroom.
Now for £1.50 each I thought these were going to be rubbish but I was quite surprised so they might not be the best tools in the world but they do there job fairly well and are cute and fun and have brightened up my bathroom mirror quite nicely.

Mini Lush haul and some of the best customer service I've seen

Today we popped to Merry Hill and I had to pop into Lush, I was pleasantly surprised we were greeted by 2 lovely ladies who were only to please to help and advise.   Now as some of you know I have a love hate relationship with Lush staff as I normally find them unhelpful and I don't like the way they look down on you when you don't really know what you want but not today.
These ladies did everything they could to help and advise both myself and Jon I did want to try there face mask but they were all out so I couldn't this time but I have to say when I do go back it will be to the Merry Hill store to receive great customer service.  Anyway this is is what I got today.
(I haven't used them yet but will review these when I do)

Ickle Baby Bot £1.75
A ballistic that will send little ones off to sleep? Does not compute! Drop it in the bath with baby bots to calm them down. They'll soon be dreaming of electric sheep with a sleep-inducing combination of lavender and sandalwood oils.

Hippy Chick £1.90
Chicks everywhere need this zesty grapefruit bath ballistic. The bohemian, refreshing scents of frankincense and citrus essential oils will perk up even the most boring baths as it fizzes off into the water. Drop it in when you're in need of a spring in your step this Easter. Anyone who loves our grapefruit-loaded Happy Hippy shower gel will love the Hippy Chick. It's clucking great, so buy-buy-birdy
We also were given 2 samples of Skin Drink And Cosmetic Lad.

While in there we were given a leaflet about a Lush home party has anyone had one or been to one what did you think i am really thinking of holding one.

My Second and Thrid RAK Gifts Came Today

So today saw my lovely postman deliver my next two RAK (Random Acts Of Kindness)
off the lovely
Rachel sent me a beautiful eyeshadow which is just so me I wore this today and loved it if only my hey fever wasn't playing up so bad might have lasted the day.
Leanne sent me a bracelet a nail varnish and a areo lamb which faith polished off shes does nearly as well as i have out of the RAK gifts.  She also included a Welsh cake which i thought was a lovely touch

Both ladies popped in a little note which was really sweets and Leanna summed up the whole RAK experience perfectly.  You don't have to spend a small fortune to make someone happy we have done it with just a few pounds and a little bit of imagination and if we are been honest we hardly know each other.

Thanks girls

Our New Table

We have been having some building work done on our house and we thought while we were clearing out the room we would change the usage of the room.  Now this room has been used as a bit of a dumping ground, however we decided we would make it into our dinning room/Jon's room.  So today we dropped Faith off at her Nanny and granddad's and made the trip to Ikea.

I absolutely bloody love Ikea Jon on the other hand hates the place but he put on a brave face and off we went.  We had already picked what table we wanted but i dragged him around the whole place for the fun of it.
Anyway this is the finished table which we are all thrilled with and we have all had our first family meal round our new table tonight which was lovely.

Egg Free Fresh Cream Cake Adventure

I had an order this week for a fresh cream egg free cake for a ladies birthday.
Now nothing strange about this however this isn't where this story ends.
I had to deliver the cake at 2 and cutting a long story short I didn't return home till after 6.
So here is my cake which helped to keep me held hostage for 4 hours.

Faith makes Chocolate Cake

Wednesday we went to friends for tea and a play on the x-box, now been a cake maker your normally find a invite to someone's house normally means (bring a cake with you)
So we didn't go empty handed I decided to let Faith try her hand and make the cake so we popped to the supermarket and I let her pick which one she wanted to make.  She decided on a chocolate tray bake so we set to work.
Now i think she did really well what do you think ??

Might have to add her to the payroll lol.

My First RAK Gift Arrived Today

Ok so as some of you may know me and a group of 4 other lovely ladies have started a RAK Group (Random Act Of Kindness).  The idea was to send A parcel to each of the other girls on the list and to purchase them something for no more than £2.00.

Now I brought all mine last week and packaged them all up and off to the post office they went.

Now I know people say its about the giving and not the receiving and it is so true, I think I have been more excited about the other girls getting there gifts then me getting mine.

However having said that my first one arrived today if you follow me on Twitter you will know I have been to Ikea today and when I got home there it was a little lonesome parcel sitting on my mat with a little airmail sticker on it.  Excitement set in and I ripped it open this is what I found.

A beautiful charm bracelet and 2 lovely charms to go on it and in the little beautifully wrapped parcel a selection of sweets which to be honest I have given to Faith which she reallllllllyyyyyy enjoyed.

My beautiful new bracelet !!!!
Faith enjoying her sweets!!

So this is just to say a BIG thank you to Dee for been so generous i totally love my gifts xxxx

Special Friends

Haven't posted in a while so I thought I would take this opportunity to tell you about some very special friends I have made.
Everyone is aware of the dangers of the Internet however I personally have met some of the nicest, kindest people I have ever know because of the Internet.
I'm not saying there aren't dangers out there but if you just use your common sense you can find some amazing people.
As some of you will know I love twitter maybe cause I am nosey and like to know what other people are up to. But mainly because I have found a bunch of people who like and have the same interests as me.
Now I'm not going to list everyone i talk to but there are a few who are always helpful, friendly and generally some of the nicest people I know

Most of these lovely ladies are taking party in my R.A.K (random act of kindness)  We are currently swapping small gifts that we have brought of each other .  Which is and idea these girls have done wonders with and yesterday one of the first gifts arrived.
I'm hoping this is something we will be able to do again and I would like to thank everyone of the for been so kind and generous.

Love, Hope, Dream necklace

Hi Ladies!!

Wanted to share this with you, a while ago while I was on twitter I saw a tweet from daintydollymix aka Sinead advertising her handmade jewellery.  I saw lots of things I was tempted to get like one of her beautiful Scrabble rings, however I saw this necklace and knew my sister would love it.
I contacted Sinead who was so lovely and helpful she said I could pick which words out of a selection she had to go on the necklace and she would make it up for me.
So I picked LOVE, HOPE, DREAM I was planning on giving this to my sister for her birthday however I couldn't wait that long.
When the necklace arrived which was super fast after I ordered it within a week it was packaged so nicely in a little organizer bag.
So on Mothers day Faith gave it to my sister who is her God Mother as her gift Jane was really pleased with it.  Please go and check out her stuff it is truly lovely and she will try so hard to meet your needs daintydollymix Jewellery I will be going back and ordering from her again.
