May ELF Order

Hi Ladies xxx

This is the ELF order I put in for May As I explained before I am now limiting myself to 1 a month if needed.

What was in the box
ELF's new Complete Coverage Concealer Light £3.50

I love this I like the fact I can mix the right shade I need it covers dark circles really well and the odd spot the brush again is a bit of a waste of time as it doesn't blend the concealer and hardly picks up any product.
I think ELF would be better to either get a brush that works for there concealer products or leave them out instead of putting in these brushes which are rubbish.

Blush and Bronzer Compact £3.50

I brought this as I had hear it was a bit of a dupe for the NARS blush and bronzer But I don't really like this product I find when I lightly swipe my brush over the powder goes everywhere like its not been pressed enough. The blush is a nice colour but I find the bronzer hard to blend might be something else which I need to try out abit more.

Mineral Eyeshadow in Wild £3.00

I brought one of these eyeshadows a few months back in elegant I think it was and loved it this I am not so keen on when I tried it it seemed patchy when I applied it. I have to be honest I haven't tried it since I will thought might of just been me.

False Lashes Natural £1.50

Love these lashes and for the price they are really good they fit well didn't need trimming and looked really natural on. I haven't tried there glue as normally the glue that comes with lashes is rubbish so I use my own which i got from Boots.

April ELF Order

Hi Ladies xx

Now as some of you know I love ELF stuff and I could get everything as they are so very generous with there offers and codes so I have decided I am only going to limit myself to 1 order a month and only if I need it.

So I had sold a far few bits and bobs on E-bay so decided to treat myself so this is what I got in my ELF order in April

Brush Shampoo £3.50

Now to be honest I haven't used as I have been using my BeautyBlender Cleanser but I will try it out this week and do a full review.

Hypershine Lip Gloss Honey £1.50

This is lovely Looks darker in the picture then what is goes on but its a really nice natural looking gloss.

Blending Eye Brush £1.50

I love All the ELF brushes I have brought and this one is no different really soft and blends my eye shadow perfectly. In my next order I would like to pick up one of there more expensive brushes to compair the two but for £1.50 I personally love this brush.

Concealer Pencil & Brush light £3.50

I read a review on this so i thought I would give it a whirl I do like the concealer however I find the brush is rubbish I prefer to use my finger to blend the concealer in and I find the brush doesn't do anything.

Complexion Perfection £3.50

Again I brought this as I have read so many good reviews on it I was a little worried about it as when I used my brush it looked white however I find it sets my make up really well. I use after I have used my concealer and foundation and then I use this and then apply blusher and bronzer.

Nail Polish Desert Haze & Innocent £1.50 each

Sorry the pictures are so bad these polishes are nude-ish colours I do like ELF polishes however I do find the brushes are a little hit and miss though. Having said that these 2 are really nice colours and are very easy to wear.

All Over Color Stick in Toasted and spotlight £1.50 Each

ELF Colour sticks are lovely and are really good buys as they can be used for just about everything eyeshadow, lip colour, blusher, highlight

Therapeutic conditioning lip balm Strawberry Crème £1.50

I love these i have 3 now they are so conditioning and they last forever perfect to carry about in my bag and as they are in a stick they are great for me as my normal lip balm I get stick in my nails.

Barry M Nail Effects NOTD

Hi Ladies

I hope you have all had a lovely Bank Holiday Monday with the weather been as horrid as it has there was only one thing to do yes you guessed it my nails lol!!

So I have had this for a while Jon brought it for me as part of my mothers day present from Faith, but to be honest I haven't used it till now as it seemed everyone was jumping on the band wagon and to be honest I had gone off it a bit.
So this week I treated myself to a few new nail polishes while they are on special in Superdrug.
I got Lemon Ice Cream and Blue moon both my Barry M.

Barry M Lemon Ice Cream

What I love about this whole thing is I painted my nails last week with the Yellow polish and got some many compliments on it and then by just painting the effects polish over the top it has completely changed the whole look and didn't take me ages to do.
To be honest Jon painted the effects polish on for me xx

So this is what I used!!

Barry M Lemon Ice cream
No17 Clear TopCoat
Barry M Nail Effects in Black

The Final Result

Like Mother Like Daughter
Yes once Faith saw my nails and as it is half term she had to have hers done to match. She got Jon to paint hers to.

May's Glossy Box

I have done a picture for ever step of opening my box so you can see how this arrived to me the quality of the packaging is top notch but did I think the same of what I would find inside FIND OUT !!!
How it arrived through the post

Love at first sight

Out of the box

Lifting the lid

Inside

The wrapping

My goodies

Products with a rule to help you gage the sizes of the products

Ok so what was in the box

All For Eve Eve Red Lipstick
Eve red lipstick was created by celebrity make up artist Daniel Sandler. This long lasting colour was designed to instil courage and poise in all who wear it
Bionova Lab Bioactive Cleanser for normal/dry skin
This cleaner gently removes all traces of impurities without damaging the skin's natural barrier system. Suitable for both skin types normal and dry
Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging rapid Repair Spray
Treat your hair with this vitamin packed finishing spray that immediately transforms the look and feel of hair. The lightweight spray can be used throughout the day, restoring vibrancy to dull and dry hair.
COMO Shambhala Invigorate Body Lotion
Refresh yourself with this light hydrating body moisturiser. Skin softening eucalyptus, mood enhancing lavender and stimulating peppermint make this the perfect wake me up.
NARS Orgasm Illuminator
This silky, shimmering highlighter creates instant radiance, giving skin a perfect dewy spring glow. Universally flattering on all skin types.

First impressions
2 out of 5 I like (NARS and the COMO Shambhala)

The Lipstick and the Cleanser are no good for me now I did think the box would have products which would suit anyone however on signing up you are asked to complete a few questions which skin type are you what is your perfered make up look.

Now I have oily skin and only wear natural looking make up shades so I was surprised to get a seriously bright red lippy and a cleanser for normal/dry skin. The hair product I haven't used yet but will after I have had my shower this evening so I can review after I have used.

So all in all I don't feel the inside lived up to the outer packaging as I am left with products which I can't use I do hope that the next box will be more suited to the person receiving the box.

Witch Blemish Pen Review and Rave

Witch Blemish Pen

I was sent this a little while ago to review by Witch's Lovely Holly. Holly was kind enough to pop this in the post to me which I was really excited about.

Now having changed my skin care routine my skin is in quite good shape for me anyway! But also with my parcel arriving so did 2 spots the type that form under the skin and don't show there faces (cowardly spots).

So on receiving it I ripped open the parcel took its picture and then applied, now if you are expecting them to vanish right away wake up and smell the coffee as I have never found any product which does that and this doesn't claim to! but it did ease them and I would say within a few days they had gone which they would normally have stuck around a lot longer. I did try applying it under make up but I found it left me a little shiny so I used mine after I washed off my make up and again when I washed my face at bedtime.

As any of you who read my blog know I love Witch's Primer I can't say enough about it and this is now another product I love and would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone to try.

Next for me is to pick up their cosmetic range I want to try all of it lol.

What Witch say:

The NEW Witch Blemish Pen is THE handbag must-have miracle for beating breakouts! Easy and convenient to use with a gel formulation and brush applicator, simply apply the medicated gel to blemishes as often as required and allow the natural witch hazel to do its work!
 • Visibly reduces spots and redness in just 2 hours*

 • Easy & convenient to use
This product won silver in the
pure beauty Awards
2010

Have you tried any of Witch's products if so what so I try next????

I would just like to again thank Holly for sending me this item and to just tell you that although this was sent to me this review is totally honest if I didn't like or rate this product I would have said so.

Batiste Hint Of Colour Dry Shampoo

Batiste Hint Of Colour Dry Shampoo and Mini Brush

I was sent these a few weeks ago to review and apologies for not getting round to posting this before but having got these through the post Faith came down with chicken pox.

Anyway I have used there original dry shampoo but as my hair is so dark (I have dark brown/black hair) when I have used it in the past it has left my hair ashy and to be honest in more of a need of a wash than before so when I saw these I added them to my shopping list however I was luckily enough to get these sent to me (big thanks Batiste)

So the blonde ones I thought would be perfect for Faiths hair and they are she has blonde hair with all sorts of colours running through it they work well and as a quick fix they are perfect.

The dark one for me I still feel improvements could be made as the colour is more grey then brown. However that said if used sparingly I can get away with using it.

They smell good and if the colour was a little better they would be a firm favourite so I would buy them again maybe more for Faith then mine, but worth a try if you have lighter hair.

Thanks again to Batiste for sending me these to try.

Beautyblender Kit

BeautyBlender & Cleanser £27.52 (with p+p)

This little Makeup sponge has totally transformed the way I apply my foundation. I have always liked applying them with a sponge rather then a brush as I feel I get on better with it. However after seeing a few reviews on this and a read/watched alot I didn't come across one bad word about it, so I shopped about and found it on Amazon which was good as i had a £10 voucher.

Now I thought I would only get 1 but I got 2 in my box not sure if this was a mistake or not but I was more than happy with 2 I also got a bottle of BlenderCleanser which you use to clean the BeautyBlender with and I was also told you can use this to clean your makeup brushes to and it does work really well.

So why is this makeup sponge so much better then the cheap ones you can pick up well, its bright pink lol its curved design fits perfectly into the palm of your hand, and blends foundation into an air brushed, seamless finish. It can be used wet or dry, and its pointy end gets right into the smallest parts of the face, like around the eyes and nose, which are often hard to reach with regular makeup sponges.

The BeautyBlender is designed by Hollywood makeup artists Rea Ann Silva and Veronica Lorenz, it was created to improve the foundation application process – making it as undetectable as possible. Its a celebrity favourite with the likes of Kim Kardashian and Rihanna using it. The BlenderCleanser is a mixture of Tea Tree and Lavender so it smells really good.

All in All one of the best things I have brought.

Johnson's Holiday Skin

Follow my blog with bloglovn

Johnson's Holiday Skin
Medium to Dark
While I was trawling the shelves of my local Wilkinson to see what offers they could tempt me with. I noticed that the Johnson's Holiday Skin Body Lotion was on offer half price £2.49, I thought this seemed pretty good value.

Now this comes in 2 different formulations Fair to medium and medium to dark I got the medium to dark one.

What Johnson's say: Johnson’s Holiday Skin Body Lotion is now enriched with Aloe Vera this daily body lotion gives skin a healthy moisture boost. Johnson’s Holiday Skin Body Lotion gradually builds a natural-looking tan. A beautiful glow will develop after 3-4 days and will be maintained with continued daily use.
So I decided to give it a go, I had a shower and exfoliated my skin and then once dry I applied the lotion. Now it doesn't smell that good but I don't know many self tans that do however after an hour or so the smell went. The lotion itself is very think and creamy and I didn't really take to much attention to applying it just sort of slapped it on and rubbed it in.
It does claim to be non streaky so application done I washed my hands and forgot about it. On getting up the next morning I could see a slight difference in my skin it was browner now Johnson's say the colour develops over 3 or 4 days. However I could tell a difference and a friend at work also notice and said what a nice colour I had gone in the sun (Thank you Johnson's). So I reapplied about 2 days after my first application and yet again no streaks and a very natural tan which does last. Now i love this stuff no worrying about stained sheet or streaks or orange hands this stuff truly is brilliant. Even knees, elbows and ankles look naturally tanned.
So to sum it up this lotion applies well is absorbed easily I haven't found any staining on my bedding my skin feels soft and moisturised. And after 1 application I had a natural tan which I was pleased with and on building the applications made the tan darked without looking orange and fake. Total godsend!!!
