I hope you have all had a great Easter we have had a almost chocolate free Easter as we are still on our diets. We have tried to remove temptation so Jon and I brought each other a gift instead of eggs. We normally always get Faith a small gift to as she tends to get loads and I mean loads 25+ eggs at Easter but this year we got her a small egg in a Minnie Mouse cup as we are off to Florida later in the year so everything is Minnie Mouse at the moment with Faith.
We have never had a biscuit barrel as biscuits are my downfall but my mum got this one for faith for Easter and some biscuit cutter so last week Faith had her best friend over and we made biscuits to fill it.
Our New Biscuit Barrel (So Cute)
The Baked Biscuits
Full (but for how long)
This is the easiest recipe for biscuits EVER!!!
90g Unsalted Butter
100g Brown Caster Sugar ( I always use light brown caster sugar)
1 Large Egg
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
200g Plain Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
5 steps to make them (told you it was easy)
- Preheat oven to 180
- Cream together the butter and sugar then add the egg and vanilla sift in the flour and baking powder and salt. mix all the ingredients together to form a dough add more flour if needed if it is to sticky roll in flour and wrap in cling film and pop in fridge for at least an hour.
- Take dough and roll out on flour till about 5mm thick.
- Cut out the biscuit and place on a lightly buttered and floured baking try.
- Bake in centre of over for about 8-12 min or until golden brown removed and let cool on a cooling rack.
Decorate and eat I like mine plain.
